National Assembly President Raya Nazaryan opened the Fertility Festival in Kyustendil. She congratulated the participants in the 16th edition of the Festival, in which producers from the region presented their products and viewed the beautifully arranged stands with fruits and vegetables grown in the region.

Today we celebrate the generosity of nature and the hard work of all farmers, because without their tireless and hard work we will not be able to enjoy the abundance presented to us at the exhibition stands, National Assembly President Raya Nazaryan said. She noted that Kyustendil is the orchard of Bulgaria and not only the tastiest products are produced here, but also the healthiest ones. Our health and that of our children depend precisely on what products we use, Raya Nazaryan added.

The President of Parliament congratulated the specialists from the Institute of Agriculture in Kyustendil on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of its founding and noted its important contribution to the development of science in the field of fruit growing, agro-protection and the shaping of the modern image of agricultural science in Bulgaria. Raya Nazaryan pointed out that thanks to the efforts of those working at the Institute, Bulgaria is one of the leaders in the quality of the products produced.

I would like to address all producers in Bulgaria and express my gratitude for their efforts and the results of their work, the President of the National Assembly said. Raya Nazaryan stressed that the Bulgarians highly appreciate everything they do.

National Assembly President Raya Nazaryan congratulated the leadership of Kyustendil Municipality and the Institute of Agriculture, which maintain the tradition of holding the Fertility Festival, develop it and thus convey to generations the most important messages - love for hard work and responsibility to health.

The opening of the Fertility Festival was attended by MPs, His Eminence Bishop Isaac of Velbazhd, the Mayor of Kyustendil Eng. Ognian Atanasov, the Chairman of the Municipal Council Dimitar Velinov, the Regional Governor Eng. Alexander Pandurski, the President of the Agricultural Academy Sofia Prof. Dr. Violeta Bozhanova and the Director of the Institute of Agriculture - Kyustendil Assoc. Prof. Iliyana Krishkova.

Earlier, National Assembly President Raya Nazaryan was welcomed by His Eminence the Bishop Isaac of Velbazhd at the Metropolitan Church of the Assumption. The Father gave the President of Parliament an icon of the Holy Mother of God as a gift to the National Assembly.
