Tyler Public Library Reading Challenge and Summer Activities
From June 5 to July 28, the Tyler Public Library has summer activities and reading challenges for all ages!
Summer Reading Challenge | June 5 to July 29
Children are challenged to read 12 hours to earn rewards, and adults are challenged to read six books. Children who complete the Summer Reading Challenge will receive a T-shirt, a goody bag, book and will be entered into a raffle. Adults who finish the challenge will receive a free book coupon for the Library Book Nook and will also be entered into a raffle drawing.
To register, visit www.TylerLibrary.com or tpl.beanstack.org. Download the Beanstack Tracker mobile app, available for Android and Apple devices, to make logging in easier. Fine forgiveness is available for all children and adults who sign up for the reading challenge. This program is for fines accrued prior to registration for the 2023 Summer Reading Challenge and does not cover lost or damaged materials.
Summer Kickoff Event | June 5 | 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All together now, let's kick off summer at the Library! Enjoy games, bounce houses, pie-eating contests, snow cones from Kona Ice, and take home some groovy swag! You can also sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge at the event. The first 300 attendees will be able to vote in the City Grillmaster showdown: Fire Department Sliders vs. Police Department Sliders!
Additional free parking will be available across the street from the Library at the Fair Parking Garage located at 208 S. College Ave.

- Baby Storytime: Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.
- Toddler Storytime: Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.

Baby Beach Party | June 21 | 10:30 a.m. to noon
Join us for water activities for your little ones! This is come and go event. Swim clothes or play clothes that can get wet and bringing a towel are encouraged. The program will be in the Library auditorium and on the front patio.
