Investigation about certain undertakings operating in waste paper recycling opened upon the decision of Ankara 14th Administrative Court

Upon the decision of Ankara 14^th Administrative Court, the Competition Board reevaluated the decision dated 08.07.2013 and numbered 13-42/538-238, which it took as a result of the investigation that was conducted to determine whether undertakings operating in waste paper recycling violated article 4 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition by means of acting jointly in respect of granting the letter necessary to export to the undertakings that wanted to export waste paper.

Having discussed the information and documents in the file in its meeting on 21.03.2024, the Board took the decision numbered 24-14/284-M that an investigation shall be opened about the following undertakings in order to fulfill the requirement of the aforementioned Court decision:

• Kahramanmaraş Kağıt San. ve Tic. AŞ,
• Kartonsan Karton San. ve Tic. AŞ,
• Marmara Kağıt ve Ambalaj San. ve Tic. AŞ,
• Modern Karton San. ve Tic. AŞ,
• Olmuksan International Paper Ambalaj San. ve Tic. AŞ and
• Selkasan Kağıt ve Paketleme Malzemeleri İmalatı San. ve Tic. AŞ

*Investigation decisions taken by the Competition Board are announced to the public after the decision is notified to the undertakings or associations of undertakings about which an investigation has been opened. Those announcements are made within the framework of informing the public about the decisions of the Competition Board and cannot be interpreted to mean that the undertakings or associations of undertakings under investigation violated the Act no 4054, or they are or will be subject to penal sanctions under the Act.
