DCCC Statement on Vulnerable Republican Anthony D’Esposito Endorsing Donald Trump

Tonight, vulnerable New York Republican Anthony D'Esposito - who is one of the most vulnerable Republicans in the country - joined fellow Long Islander Nick LaLota in endorsing criminally indicted former President Donald Trump.

As if losing a bellwether special election on Long Island just a mere two weeks ago wasn't enough, Anthony D'Esposito's endorsement of the leader of the MAGA movement proves he doesn't know Long Island voters.

In response, DCCC spokesperson Ellie Dougherty released the following statement:

"Anthony D'Esposito falling in line to endorse Donald Trump is unsurprising and mirrors how he's repeatedly caved to the most dangerous, far-right factions of the Republican Party.

"In Congress, D'Esposito has voted for legislation to restrict abortion in addition to cutting funding for public safety. And after 13 months in office, he's also failed to advance any meaningful, bipartisan policies to fix our border.

"This much is clear: Anthony D'Esposito is already one of the most vulnerable Republicans in the country, and he just all but guaranteed his pink slip for November."
