Inspection Next Week on I-78 Bridge Over Swatara Creek in Lebanon County

Harrisburg, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that an inspection is planned for next week on Interstate 78 bridges spanning Swatara Creek about two miles east of the Interstate 81 in Union and Swatara townships, Lebanon County.

Weather permitting, a contractor will inspect the I-78 bridges over Swatara Creek on Monday, October 23, and Tuesday, October 24. This work will be performed each day between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

A right lane restriction will be in place on the eastbound bridge on Monday. A right lane restriction will be in place on the westbound bridge on Tuesday.

Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
