NEWThe touristic activity of the tourism agencies and tour operators in January March 2024

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-March 2024 the number of visitors (tourists and excursionists), participating in tourism organized by travel agencies and tour operators amounted to 54.4 thousand persons (with 22.3% more than in January-March 2023), of which:

• inbound tourism (foreign citizens visiting Moldova) registered 7.8 thousand people (+53.3% compared to January-March 2023);
• outbound tourism (Moldovan residents travelling abroad) - 30.6 thousand persons (+7.6%);
• domestic tourism (Moldovan residents travelling inside Moldova) - 16.0 thousand persons (+46.0%).
