UPDATE: Appeal to Trace Robbery Witness in Leeds City Centre

The woman has been identified following our appeal. A 19-year-old male has been charged with attempted robbery in connection with the incident. Thanks for sharing our appeals.

Police are appealing for information to trace a possible robbery victim or witness in Leeds city centre. <_o3a_p>

The Leeds District Crime Team is appealing for a woman to come forwards who may have been the victim of robbery on Boar Lane, near to Wing Stop on Tuesday 23 April. <_o3a_p>

Enquiries are ongoing into the offence which began at 2.30pm after suspects tried to steal a jacket from a male in Leeds Market. <_o3a_p>

The victim ran and was chased by the males onto Boar Lane. <_o3a_p>

<_o3a_p>

It is believed the suspects then had contact with a woman near to Wing Stop and may have taken property from her. <_o3a_p>

<_o3a_p>

The woman had dark shoulder length curly hair and thick rimmed red glasses which look to have reflective lenses and was wearing a black top, black leggings and black and red running trainers with white soles. She also appears to have had a pair of blue headphones around her neck. <_o3a_p>

A 19-year-old man was arrested in connection with the attempted robbery and remains in police custody at this time. <_o3a_p>

PC James Sergeant of the Leeds District Crime Team,said: "We are continuing to investigate the attempted robbery on a victim in Leeds Market and are now appealing for information to help us identify a woman as a potential witness or victim. CCTV showed the lady being jostled by the males while she was near to the Wing Stop and we would very much like to get an account from her to see if she was a victim of offences. <_o3a_p>
