Presented each year at NCB's Annual Meeting, the honor is bestowed to those who live and work with the spirit of the cooperative principles.

"I am honored to present Ann the Spirit of Cooperation Award," said Casey Fannon, president and CEO of NCB. "Ann has worked for NCB for nearly 30 years and under her leadership has been instrumental in advancing NCB's mission banking objectives serving food co-ops, worker co-ops, healthcare, co-op focused Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) and affordable housing co-ops."

Since joining NCB in 1994, Fedorchak has been involved in providing banking services to affordable housing cooperatives, nonprofits, and community healthcare projects. In her current role, Fedorchak leads NCB's Specialty Finance team and drives NCB's Co-op and Community Development mission objectives in thought leadership, advocacy and co-op development.

NCB's CEO carefully selects the annual recipient of the Stan Dreyer Spirit of Cooperation Award, recognizing an individual or organization who exemplifies the spirit of the cooperative principles. Dreyer, who passed away in 2017, was instrumental in the passage of the Congressional Bank Act in 1978 that created NCB. The award is bestowed annually to an individual whose devotion and contribution to the cooperative community emulate those embodied by Dreyer. Among his long list of accomplishments, Dreyer served as president of NCBA CLUSA (the called the Cooperative League of the United States), board member of the International Cooperative Alliance and senior officer of the National Cooperative Bank. Throughout his career, his dedication to fostering the growth and success of cooperatives, both nationally and internationally, earned him widespread recognition and an enduring legacy.
