Milk collected by integrated dairies was 897 thousand 379 tonnes

The amount of cow's milk collected by dairy enterprises, increased by 13.1% in February compared with the same month of the previous year and increased by 8.7% in the January-February period compared with the same period of the previous year.

In February, compared with the same month of the previous year, cheese production from cow's milk increased by 10.6%, drink made of yoghurt (ayran) production increased by 28.3%, yoghurt production increased by 16.6%, drinking milk production increased by 0.5%, butter production increased by 20.1%.

In the January-February period, cheese production from cow's milk increased by 11.5%, drink made of yoghurt (ayran) production increased by 20.1%, yoghurt production increased by 12.7%, drinking milk production increased by 3.3%, butter production increased by 20.0% compared with the same period of the previous year.

The amount of cow's milk collected by dairies, which was 915 thousand 522 tons in the previous month, decreased by 2.0% and became 897 thousand 379 tons in February.

Drinking milk production, which was 153 thousand 796 tons in the previous month, decreased by 13.2% and became 133 thousand 505 tons in February.

Statistics in this bulletin are obtained from a monthly survey applied to all integrated milk and milk product (dairy) enterprises that use raw milk as an input. Establishments that make ice cream and milk-based desserts are excluded.
