GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. On behalf of all Marines, I offer my warmest congratulations to all Naval Engineers on your anniversaries. Navy Civil Engineers and Seabees continuously improve the combat effectiveness of the Marine Corps, building and fighting alongside Marines in every conflict. Marines are proud to join you in celebrating your rich heritage and innumerable contributions to our Nation's defense.
2. Naval Facilities Engineering Command and the Civil Engineer Corps provide consistent and exceptional civil engineering support for our forward deployed forces, as well as crucial support to our installations around the world -- all while ensuring an exceptional quality of life for the Marines and families serving there.
3. As we celebrate your legacy and "can do" spirit, we also pause to reflect upon those Naval Engineers and Seabees who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our Nation. Marines everywhere salute those who have answered the clarion call to duty with remarkable courage, dedication, and unshakable resolve in your efforts to build and fight.
4. Semper Fidelis. David H. Berger, General, U.S. Marine Corps, Commandant of the Marine Corps.//
