Separating banana plantlets

The transfer of a plant tissue or plantlet from one culture vial or growing medium into a new one is called sub-culture.

This process allows plantlets to grow healthy and free from diseases caused by bacteria or virus.

The colourless gel inside the growing medium contains nutrients for the plantlets.
