Warren, PA, July 26, 2021-U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service announced that a traffic hazard exists where a small subsidence occurred in the underlying slope of Longhouse Drive (FR 262) in Allegheny National Forest. To protect travelers, traffic is restricted to one lane. Safety barriers and warning signs are in place four miles north of the junction of Route 321 and FR 262.

Longhouse Drive and all adjacent recreation sites remain open. For their safety, travelers should reduce speed, use caution, and obey traffic signs. Longhouse Drive is the western leg of the 36-mile Longhouse National Forest Scenic Byway.

'We apologize to our visitors for the inconvenience on Longhouse Scenic Drive and encourage travelers to drive safely as we plan repairs to the road,' said Bradford District Ranger Rich Hatfield.
