Port Inland Employees Clean Highway in the State of Michigan.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has charge of over 120,000 miles of highways, roads and streets in the Michigan area. Keeping this network of roadways clean and attractive is the mission of Adopt-A-Highway (AAH) program of the MDOT.

But MDOT always needs help from the local community and businesses. The Carmeuse Port Inland team volunteered to clean-up 2 miles of US Highway 2 in Gulliver, Michigan. They collected approximately 20 bags of trash and debris making the highway a pleasure to travel.

Kathy Chase, Human Resources at Port Inland offered her gratitude towards her fellow coworkers, "Thank you to everyone who was able to participate in our efforts to keep the roadside clean."
