State Minister Nakatani Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on Energy Transition with Mr. Pardow, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Chile

On Friday, April 28, 2023, Mr. Nakatani Shinichi, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, signed an MoC on Energy Transition with H.E. Mr. Diego Gonzalo Pardow Lorenzo, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Chile, in order to further develop cooperation in the energy sector.

In the signed MoC, the two countries agreed to exchange information on renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy management, including the use of energy storage, and hydrogen, ammonia and derivates such as synthetic fuels, and to cooperate in promoting energy transitions in both countries. With the signing of this MoC, Japan will further accelerate cooperation with Chile in the energy sector.
