West Side Walking/Biking Path on West Side Under Construction

A few weeks ago, TxDOT started construction on a walking/biking path on FM 518 from Palomino Lane to Williamsport Street.

The completed sidewalk will provide a safer route for pedestrians-particularly students walking to and from school.

The project will take between 21-24 months to complete, dependent on if any weather or utility conflicts arise. Lanes have been shifted to make room for work and crews will be working primarily behind the concrete barriers that have been placed at the shoulder of the road.
