WASHINGTON, D.C. - Joint Staff Spokesperson Navy Capt. Jereal Dorsey provided the following readout:

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., spoke with United Kingdom Chief of the Defence Staff Adm. Sir Tony Radakin today by phone.

The leaders discussed the security situation in Europe and in the Middle East. The United States and United Kingdom are working with global allies and partners to support Ukraine against Russian aggression and protect international shipping from illegal Houthi attacks in the Red Sea.

The United States and United Kingdom are strong military partners and share a special relationship rooted in a long history of mutual support and cooperation.
