NPC, a subsidiary of GC Group, has dispatched drones equipped with thermal imaging cameras along with comprehensive firefighting gear and specialists to assist in extinguishing a fire at a chemical waste storage facility in Rayong province

NPC Safety & Environmental Services Co., Ltd., also known as NPC, is a PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC) subsidiary. The company specializes in emergency response and is well-equipped to handle such situations. NPC has dispatched a team of 30 highly trained emergency response and rescue personnel and comprehensive firefighting equipment. This includes drones with thermal imaging cameras, a drone setup with a thermal imager, firefighting robots, F-500 extinguishing agents, firefighting foam, and water pumping and delivery machinery. The NPC emergency response and rescue team has collaborated (including offering advice) with government agencies to tailor their plans to the specifics of the site. NPC's assigned mission involved initially targeting various warehouses and ultimately taking responsibility for Warehouse 3, which contains difficult-to-extinguish and hazardous fuels. Overall, the team has been able to proactively assess the situation, manage the incident before it escalates, minimize costs, reduce severity, limit damage, and lessen environmental and community contamination from water runoff.

Following a fire that occurred from April 22, 2024, to April 27, 2024, at the Win Process Company in Ban Nong Phawa, Bang But Subdistrict, Ban Khai District, Rayong Province, NPC dispatched a team of emergency response and rescue experts. They were equipped with comprehensive firefighting tools, including cutting-edge drones with thermal imaging cameras, which played a pivotal role in this mission. These drones could fly into the area to assess the fire and high-temperature hot spots, offering images with color gradients indicating heat intensity alongside normal imagery. This innovative technology provided vital information for the command team's decision-making and preemptively assessing the situation to manage the incident effectively, minimize damage, and reduce costs and environmental impact from contaminated water. Additionally, NPC deployed firefighting robots, over 5,100 liters of F-500 encapsulating agent (certified by the NFPA for effectively extinguishing metal fires), and 2,800 liters of firefighting foam, along with a Trailer Fire Pump with a capacity of 2000 GPM. This equipment was specifically deployed in Warehouse 3 to combat an aluminum dross fire, effectively lowering the temperature and managing the blaze. This action helped to significantly reduce the fire's intensity and minimize the damage.
