Updates for Italian citizens from the Consular Offices of the Embassy of Italy in Washington

A.I.R.E. REGISTRATION. A.I.R.E. registration requests or updates submitted via FAST IT will be given priority processing over those submitted via other means starting February 1, 2023.

PASSPORTS. The Consular Offices of the Embassy of Italy in Washington D.C. have introduced the option of using a "priority lane" for making an appointment with the passport office for the following categories of persons:

- Persons over 70 years of age;

- Persons with disabilities;

- Pregnant women;

- Families with children under 12 years of age.

Anyone who falls into one of these categories may write directly to [email protected] or call the dedicated number (202) 612-4443, available from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, to make an appointment.

COMITES. Effective January 1st of this year, there is a link on the Embassy's website to the website of the Committee of Italians Abroad (Com.It.Es.) of the consular district of Washington D.C. By clicking on the "Comites DoC" logo, you will also have access to the Committee's various social media accounts. You will be able to follow the various activities, interact with it, and read the Newsletter periodically published by the representative body.
