This week, Mr. Dennis Francis, President of the 78^th Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), is convening the Sustainability Week in New York.

The Sustainability Week brings multi stakeholders together to discuss, and debate on sustainable transportation, infrastructure, tourism, energy, debt sustainability and socio-economic equality towards accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Mr. Amartuvshin Gombosuren, Deputy Foreign Minister of Mongolia delivered a statement on behalf of the Group of Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) at the plenary segment on tourism.

The Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that the importance of infrastructure development, greater use of investment platforms, encouraging entrepreneurship and the adopting of new technologies for LLDCs that make a great contribution to enhancing the tourism industry and achieving the SDGs.

The Government of Mongolia places special emphasis on advocating for common interests and advancing the development of LLDCs. Mongolia is currently serving as Vice Chair of the Group of LLDCs and Co-Chairing the Intergovernmental Preparatory Committee for the UN Third conference on LLDCs.
