Southbound Route 28 Short-term Closure Sunday in Millvale

​Pittsburgh, PA - PennDOT District 11 is announcing the closure of a portion of southbound Route 28 in Millvale Borough, Allegheny County will occur Sunday morning, February 25 weather permitting.

Southbound Route 28 will close to traffic at the 40th Street Bridge from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday as Lamar Advertising conducts billboard maintenance work. Southbound traffic will be detoured.

Posted Detour

  • From southbound Route 28 take the 40th Street Bridge/Lawrenceville (Exit 3A) off-ramp

  • Continue straight onto the ramp to southbound Route 28

  • End detour

Police will assist motorists through the intersection. Please use caution in the area.
