A new hotel, called Metsähotelli, will rise in Kuusijärvi Recreation Centre Vantaa, righ next to Sipoonkorpi National Park. The hotel will be opened on the Finnish Nature Day, which is celebrated on August 31, 2024.

Metsähotelli Kuusijärvi offers not only versatile outdoor activities, but also the possibility for the guests to familiarize themselves with Sipoonkorpi National Park. The Metsähotelli can accommodate almost as many as 400 outdoor enthusiasts in its area.

- The picturesque Kuusijärvi is a most popular nature and recreation area throughout the year. The exquisite area offers many services supporting wellbeing, such as traditional smoke saunas, beach, outdoor recreation trails, and restaurant services. Kuusijärvi Recreation Centre Vantaa is an ideal place for this kind of an event, says Anniina Laitala, coordinator for Kuusijärvi Recreation Centre Vantaa.

Vantaa is home to nature

The City of Vantaa is celebrating its 50th year as a city, and during the jubilee year, the city is full of events wide and varied. The motto of the city's jubilee year is that everybody can feel at home in Vantaa.

Vantaa is home to nature; streams, brooks, rapids, and recreation trails. Kuusijärvi Recreation Centre Vantaa also has a beach, a restaurant, and a café. While in Kuusijärvi, you can also enjoy the traditional smoke sauna, swimming, walking in nature, as well as enjoy the glow of flames at an accessible campfire place on each day of the year.

Kuusijärvi is like a small national landscape where-thanks to the Sudentassu bridge-the recreation options have expanded from Kuusijärvi Recreation Centre Vantaa to the forested wilderness of Sipoonkorpi National Park.

- Metsähotelli Kuusijärvi is a great addition to the jubilee-year setting, because it also highlights the values that are dear to us Vantaa residents, namely: nature and sense of community," adds jubilee-year coordinator Lea Rahkola-Kauranen.

In addition to outdoor activities, Metsähotelli Kuusijärvi offers versatile activities related to wellbeing, such as traditional games, contests, and entertaining evening program. The aim is that those who participate in the event for the first time gain a low-threshold experience of the magic of nature.

The Metsähotelli Kuusijärvi event is arranged in cooperation with the City of Vantaa and Vantaan Latu ja Polku ry.
