Image Appeal Over Unprovoked Attack, Thornville Road, Headingley

Police have released images of a man they want to identify over an unprovoked attack in Leeds in March last year.

The victim, a 20-year-old man, received serious facial injuries in the incident that occurred in Thornville Road, Headingley, on March 29.

The victim had been on a night out when a car stopped in front of the group he was with. Two passengers got out and one of the men punched the victim in the face causing him to fall backwards to the ground.

The men then returned to the car which drove away.

The suspect was described as Asian, with dark hair and a beard. He was wearing a grey t-shirt with the Nike logo across the chest, dark trousers and dark shoes.

Officers had been carrying out specific enquiries to identify him since the incident but now need to appeal for the public's assistance.
