BMI Hosts Celebration for BeBe Winans’ 2X Chart-Topper “Heaven”

BMI gathered at its Nashville office to celebrate the remarkable achievement of longtime affiliate BeBe Winans and his two-time chart-topper, "Heaven." Peaking first in 1988 on the gospel charts and again in 2023, Winans was reunited with original co-writer Keith Thomas (ASCAP) and joined by the artists behind the re-recorded track, Anthony David (BMI) and Algebra Blessett (BMI), to commemorate the hits' overall success.

Hosted by BMI's Shannon Sanders and sponsored by Studio Bank, the party featured a special performance of the song by David and Blessett as a tribute to Winans and a salute to the original writers of the track. Winans gave remarks, thanking David and Blessett for reaching and inspiring a new generation of Gospel fans and Thomas for his contributions. To end the gathering, Winans debuted an upcoming project called "Father in Heaven" for attendees.
