Curs deschis gratuit organizat de Clinica de Pshihologie a UBB pentru specialiștii implicați în activități de sprijinire a imigranților și refugiaților

We are proud to invite you to a new FREE course organized by Babes-Bolyai PsyTech Clinic in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration. This course is dedicated to psychosocial professionals active in migrant, displaced, and refugee support and will provide a framework for developing psychosocial dimensions of migration and displacement based on ethical principles, approaches, and tools associated with psychosocial support. The course will encompass legal standards, psychological first aid, psychological interventions, and other related contents, with a duration of 85 hours (online and face-to-face in Cluj-Napoca, Romania) and it is available to Romanian, Moldavian, Ukrainian, and Polish citizens.

Duration of the course: 13.10.2023-10.12.2023 (every second weekend)

Requirements:

- academic background (at least BA) in one of the following required disciplines: Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Psychology, Community Psychology, Social Work, Education, Special Education, Humanities, and Applied Arts.
- at least 2 years of proven relevant experience in the field of MHPSS for migrants, displaced persons and refugees.

*Selection will be applied based on the requirements.

Summary of modules:
Module 1 in presence 13-15 October 2023 - Setting objectives, legal frameworks and psychological first aid
Module 2 remote 27-19 October 2023 - International standards, assessment and mapping, mental health and psychosocial support
Module 3 in presence 10-12 November 2023 - Community and family support
Module 4 remote 24-26 November 2023 - Translation, interpretation, cultural mediation, and community bridges, lay counselling and psychological interventions and care for people with severe mental disorders
Module 5 in presence 8-10 December 2023 - concepts and models of MHPSS, evaluation and fieldwork discussions
