16 BVB first-team players called up for international duty

16 members of the BVB first-team squad are on duty during the first international break of the new season. Emre Can, Nico Schlotterbeck, Waldemar Anton, Pascal Gross and Maximilian Beier have been called up for the Germany national team.

16 members of the BVB first-team squad are on duty during the first international break of the new season. Emre Can, Nico Schlotterbeck, Waldemar Anton, Pascal Gross and Maximilian Beier have been called up for the Germany national team.

The nominated Borussia players will represent their nations in the Nations League, the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and in friendly matches. Two of the Nations League fixtures will see BVB players go head-to-head: Germany will face Donyell Malen's Netherlands, while Julian Ryerson (Norway) and Marcel Sabitzer (Austria) will also face off against each other.

Karim Adeyemi (Germany U21) and Jamie Gittens (England U21) will be involved in the European Championship qualifiers with their respective youth teams, while Kjell Wätjen and Almugera Kabar (both Germany U19) will compete in the U19 Nations Tournament.
