The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Leadership Foundation's Technology Apprenticeship Program (TAP) is a technical education program designed to train, inform and recruit a diverse workforce that meets emerging technology and engineering needs within the broadcast community. The Foundation works with current and aspiring leaders in broadcasting to build a more diverse, innovative and vibrant future for the industry. The NAB Technical Apprenticeship Program is comprised of 20 students and recent grads from across the United States gathering to learn about today's broadcast technology and the latest trends.

Xperi's involvement with the Technology Apprenticeship Program coincides with the launch of our automotive technology solutions internship program. As part of this pilot program, we welcome TAP program fellow Michael Paschal to the Xperi team where he has the opportunity to work alongside and learn from some of Xperi's finest engineers, developers and innovators for three months while learning new skills and exploring his role in the consumer experience of the future.

"Xperi is on the cutting edge of modern technology, and I am overjoyed to be a part of a team that is spearheading modern broadcast technology," said Michael. "I enlisted in the army when I was only 17 years old as an infantryman, and with little transferable job skills after my enlistment outside of a great deal of discipline, professionalism and attention to detail, I found I needed to complete my bachelor's degree in information technology. I am getting a later start than your average college senior getting ready to graduate from undergrad because of my military career and I am delighted to have such an excellent opportunity at a company that supports veterans transitioning back into the civilian workforce."

Xperi's Veterans at Xperi employee resource group (ERG) celebrates and recognizes the contributions, sacrifices and service of Xperi veterans who have served in the armed forces and promotes the continuation of the legacy of service by contributing to their communities and veterans' families. The group supports the transition of veterans as they enter careers with Xperi through mentorship and camaraderie.

"We couldn't be more excited to welcome Michael to our team. His impressive array of skills acquired through his time in service will undoubtedly be put to excellent use here," said Dylan Wondra, senior director of product management and chair of the Veterans at Xperi ERG.

"As a fellow military veteran, I can attest to the value of finding a workplace that fosters an environment of support and understanding towards those who have served our country. After my own time in service, I was fortunate enough to find a home at TiVo/Xperi, where I was able to tap into the knowledge and guidance of both military mentors and supporters.

"With Michael joining our organization, we are thrilled to extend this same sense of community and support to another veteran. We look forward to seeing how his unique skill set will contribute to our team, and we are excited to witness the outstanding work he will accomplish."
