Water going down the drain over the next few months is helping keep Cranberry's water supply flowing cleanly.

Hydrant flushing is a routine maintenance operation designed to flush sediment from the water system, check fire hydrant operation, and test chlorine levels in the water lines throughout the Township.

Flushing is conducted from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Discolored water and fluctuations in water pressure are normal during flushing.

The Township suggests that customers refrain from doing laundry when their neighborhood lines are being flushed.

After a reasonable time, if water does not clear, return to normal pressure, or service is interrupted, call Customer Service at 724-776-4806.
