Uncover the mystery of what happens to our waste and learn about The Waiheke Way to see how we can reduce our impact.

We will start our tour at Tawaipareira Reserve (Waiheke Skate Park), learn about the history of Waiheke Waste Management, and then will continue to the Waiheke Community Resource Recovery Park to continue learning about the Waiheke timeline, see waste reduction in action, learn how to reduce your waste and get your questions answered.

Minimum: 5 attendees, Maximum: 15 attendees

Kids are welcome; young children (10 and below) must be accompanied by an adult.

Must wear closed shoes; we will provide Hi-vis vests.

Please bring Reusable Water Bottle and a sun hat if sunny, as we will spend some time outside.

In case of bad weather, we will meet directly at the WCRRP - 110 Ostend Road, - communication will be updated via email to those who signed up for the event.

This event is part of EcoFest, an annual month-long festival from Saturday 18 March - Sunday 16 April 2023. EcoMatters, Kaipātiki Project, Beautification Trust, and Waiheke Resources Trust are teaming up to collectively showcase all that Tāmaki Makaurau has to offer in the sustainability space.
