Cannabis Farm located in Moortown

On Wednesday, 27 March, 2024, Officers from Leeds North East Neighbourhood Police Team located a cannabis farm within an address on a residential street of Moortown. The plants pictured below were seized and the property made safe. Investigations are currently ongoing.

The picture below shows the dangers of homemade electrical tampering. <_o3a_p>

Electrical tampering is altering the meter so it will not either fully or completely record how much electricity is being used. Changing the wiring of a meter could make switches or appliances live to the touch. This is a risk to anyone who may use them as they may malfunction or overheat. This can also start house fires and endanger the lives of those who live nearby. <_o3a_p>

Cannabis farms can crop up in any residential area, not just in homes but in the back of shops, warehouses and derelict buildings. <_o3a_p>
