Pick It Up Powder Springs
Pick it Up happens twice a year in the Fall and the Spring.
Our next scheduled Pick It Up event is Saturday, April 23, 2022.
As the country continues to deal with the pandemic, it is as important as ever to help end litter across our great nation. This means that we should all make sure that waste (including PPE) gets placed in the trash and we all recycle based on local capabilities.
Regarding litter collection, Great American Cleanup event organizers have been provided clear guidance to ensure that volunteer health is our first priority. All cleanups should adhere to guidelines from federal, state, and local public health officials so timely and accurate information can guide safe and appropriate activities in each location.
For more information, contact Keep Powder Springs Beautiful.

Bring One for the Chipper
Help the environment by recycling your holiday tree. Bring One for the Chipper is an annual Christmas tree recycling program. As a Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation affiliate, Keep Powder Springs Beautiful staff works with Keep Cobb Beautiful and local sponsors to organize the recycling event in Cobb County.
Since its inception, the program has recycled an estimated 5.9 million Christmas trees statewide. Mulch from these trees has been used for playgrounds, local government beautification projects and individual yards.
Live undecorated and unflocked Christmas trees are accepted at the following Home Depot and PARKS locations in Cobb:
Event sponsors include Home Depot, Davey Tree Expert Company, TAG Grinding Services Inc. and Cobb County PARKS. Many local sponsors and volunteers also make contributions and provide in-kind services. Free mulch will be available.
