CUF investe 35 milhões no futuro hospital da Covilhã e cria 200 empregos

The CUF group announced an investment of 35 million euros in the future CUF Covilhã Hospital, which will open in 2027, create more than 200 jobs and expand access to the network to two more districts - Castelo Branco and Guarda. This will be CUF's fourth health unit in the Central region of the country and will be located close to the city's Sports Complex.

"The new hospital unit, with an investment of 35 million euros, will have an area of ​​more than eight thousand m2, divided over three floors of care activity, and will have 27 inpatient beds, including an Intermediate Care Unit, two Operating Room rooms and 34 consultation offices", said the group led by Rui Diniz in a statement.

In a project in partnership with the Forumlar business group, the future Hospital CUF Covilhã will provide, to an area of ​​influence of around 280 thousand inhabitants, a comprehensive and differentiated clinical offer, equipped with the most modern diagnostic and treatment technology, combined with high comfort levels and clinical quality.

The new hospital unit will have an area of ​​more than eight thousand m2, divided over three floors of care activity, and will have 27 inpatient beds, including an Intermediate Care Unit, two Operating Room rooms and 34 consultation and exam offices. . It will also provide Imaging services, Permanent Adult Care, among many others, with a comprehensive range of medical-surgical specialties, as well as technical specialties.

The future hospital was presented on October 30th, in the Grand Auditorium of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Beira Interior, in Covilhã.

Occupying an area of ​​more than eight thousand meters and distributed over three floors of care activity, this new hospital unit "will allow us to consolidate a network response with all CUF health units, namely those closest to us: Viseu, Coimbra and Leiria ", highlights Rui Diniz, president of the CUF Executive Committee.
