MSHDA Detroit office closing for in-person appointments during height of NFL Draft activities
Phone and virtual appointments still available
DETROIT, Mich. --The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) is pausing in-person service at its Detroit office Thursday and Friday as activities associated with the NFL Draft are expected to bring an unprecedented number of football fans to the city. The heavy traffic and high demand for parking will make it difficult to visit MSHDA's office in the Cadillac Place, 3028 W. Grand Boulevard, so in-person appointments will not be offered, but staff will be available to help customers in other ways.
"While there is a flurry of excitement around the NFL Draft this week, we want to assure clients and customers that we are still working remotely to deliver the housing-related services and solutions they expect," said MSHDA Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director Amy Hovey. "We are temporarily suspending in-office visits for the convenience of our staff and clientele but will offer phone and virtual meetings on these days."
Anyone who already has a scheduled in-person appointment at MSHDA's Detroit office will be notified of the closure and will be offered the option to have the meeting over the phone, virtually, or reschedule.
New phone or virtual appointments can be scheduled during the two days when MSHDA's Detroit office is not taking in-person meetings. Customers can call313-456-3540 or email[email protected] for assistance.
In-person service will resume Monday, April 29.
