Have your say! City of Brampton seeking feedback on the draft Parks and Recreation Master Plan update

​Learn about exciting upcoming Parks and Recreation projects happening across the City

BRAMPTON, ON (March 27, 2024)-Driven by its Parks and Recreation Master Plan (PRMP), the City of Brampton is revitalizing its community centres and parks to increase access to versatile, multi-use facilities that can be enjoyed year-round by residents. These amenities will be designed for residents of all ages, interests and abilities. To ensure these projects meet the current and future recreation needs of the community, the City will be sharing exciting project updates and seeking input from its residents in its next phase of public consultations.

Brampton's Parks and Recreation Master Plan is a guiding document for the delivery of parks, open space, recreation and sports facilities to promote active and healthy lifestyles. The City is currently undertaking a five-year review of the plan. The update to the PRMP revisits the original recommendations against today's landscape, progress thus far and makes further recommendations to reflect the current needs of residents.

The City of Brampton is committed to inclusive governance, ensuring it actively seeks input from residents to ensure initiatives align with their needs. Feedback from the community is a critical part of the successful development of a renewed PRMP and revitalization projects. The updated PRMP has been created and will be finalized based on input from Brampton residents.

​Available April 3: draft Parks and Recreation Master Plan update viewable online

The City of Brampton will be publishing the draft Parks and Recreation Master Plan online for review beginning April 3. Residents are encouraged to share their input through a feedback form, which will be available from April 3 to 17, 2024.

Parks and Recreation Revitalized Public Information Sessions

Visit a public information session to learn more and ask questions about the upcoming parks and recreation revitalization projects. Residents will also have opportunities to share their feedback on the draft updated Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
