Data Broker Legislation Continues Congress’ Privacy ‘Wack-A-Mole’ Approach

Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (WA-01) released the following statement after today's data broker legislation (H.R. 7520) vote.

"Last week was TikTok and this week the focus is data brokers. While these bills are well intended and address certain scenarios, they continue Congress' reactionary Wack-A-Mole approach that isn't working. The only way to protect Americans' personal information in our digital age is a strong national data privacy law that sets the rules of the road across the country."
