JEFFERSON CITY, Mo - A multi-route pavement improvement project is set to start next week in Morgan County. Construction crews expect to begin the project on Oct. 9. The first routes to be resurfaced will be Routes RA, HH, AA, and OO. Once those are completed, and as weather allows, the contractor will move on to the remaining routes in the project, in a to-be-determined order.
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded two contracts totaling $9,839,802.61 to Magruder Paving LLC to resurface more than 96 miles of road on 14 routes in Morgan, Benton, Miller, and Camden counties. All work is anticipated to be completed by Nov. 1, 2024.
On all routes, one lane will remain open during the resurfacing. Flaggers and a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. All work is weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones. Motorists are advised to use extra caution through work zones, obey all traffic signs, and avoid any distractions.
