Sport Republic Acquires Southampton Football Club

Paul, Weiss advised Sport Republic Limited in its acquisition of a majority stake in the English Premier League Southampton Football Club. Under the terms of the transaction, Sport Republic partnered with Katharina Liebherr, who retained a minority interest in Southampton Football Club. Sport Republic is a London-based investment firm in the sports and entertainment industry founded by Henrik Kraft and Rasmus Ankersen, and backed by lead investor Dragan Šolak. Sport Republic applies proprietary intelligence and data analytics to help sports businesses and sports technology companies reach their full potential.
