April is on the horizon and TMU's calendar is bursting with activity, featuring an exciting mix of events spanning academics, culture, recreation and mental wellness. Explore our upcoming events listed below for more details.

Design Fabrication Zone (DFZ) Open Shop: All-Access

Do you craft, build, sew, code, woodwork, solder or quilt? If so, then stop by the DFZ Open Shop! Each week from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., The DFZ Open Shop welcomes community members to their fabrication space to work on projects, gain access to tools, and meet new people in the community.

The DFZ is here to support everyone in the design & fabrication industry! The Open Shop is free and open to all students, staff, faculty and the public.

Therapy Dog FriYAYs!

Join us for an hour of puppy love every Friday with Therapy Dogs FriYays presented by TMU Leadership! TMU's Therapy Dog Program aims to improve mental well-being on campus, and bring positive mental health and wellness supports to our community. Stop by the SLC weekly on Fridays from 2 -3 p.m. for therapy dog sessions, created in partnership with the St. John's Ambulance Therapy Dog Program.

The Black Flourishing Conference

TMU's Black Flourishing Conference is a two-day event designed to celebrate, empower and centre Black student success. The conference aims to address the unique needs and challenges faced by Black students and explore ways in which TMU can better support its students academically, emotionally, and socially in order to create an environment where we can feel seen, thrive and flourish.

SPRINGWORKS

The Creative School presents SPRINGWORKS 2024. This glittering mixed bill features choreography by the National Ballet of Canada's Choreographic Associate, Guillaume Côté, and award winning, two-time Dora Mavor Moore award nominated, Esie Mensah, with lighting design by Arun Srinivasan. Performed by the 3rd and 4th-year Performance Dance students, this staple of Performance programming, SPRINGWORKS 2024, is not to be missed.
