NEWARK, NJ- In recognition of Transit Operator Appreciation Day on Saturday, March 18th, NJ TRANSIT is celebrating the men and women who keep the transportation system moving, whether it's on a train, bus, light rail or Access Link vehicle. Beginning now through Tuesday, March 21st, NJ TRANSIT has made it possible for customers to thank an NJ TRANSIT employee they appreciate by going to njtransit.com/thanksand letting us know about your favorite transit operator or train crew member! In return, you may get a "thanks" back from us.

"We thank and appreciate all of our hard working and dedicated men and women behind the wheel and at the controls who are on the front line of safely operating our fleet," said New Jersey Department of Transportation Commissioner and NJ TRANSIT Board Chair Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti."This is a great way to show our thanks to those who keep New Jersey moving."

How it works:

In celebration of "Transit Operator Appreciation Day", customers can go to njtransit.com/thanksbetween now and midnight Tuesday, March 21st to fill out the required form with information about an NJ TRANSIT employee they want to thank.

Customers who complete the form, may get a special "thanks" in return from NJ TRANSIT!
