REACTION FROM SPEAKER ŞENTOP TO CHARLIE HEBDO MAGAZINE: "WE SHOULD LEAVE THIS RABID MENTALITY TO ITS OWN DISEASE AND PATHOLOGICAL STATUS"
Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Mustafa Şentop, reacted to the French magazine Charlie Hebdo, which targeted President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and said, "Such criticisms against our President, are not made against him, but against our nation and Türkiye."

Mustafa Şentop, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, received the youth representatives from 81 provinces, TRNC and Azerbaijan for the Youth Week, and answered the questions of the journalists after the reception.

Asked for his assessment of the French magazine Charlie Hebdo's targeting of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Şentop said that the magazine is famous for its hostility towards Türkiye, the religion of Islam and the Islamic world, so it should not be taken too seriously.<_o3a_p>

Expressing that President Erdoğan's vision and policies he followed brought him to a point in the context of Türkiye's goals and perspectives, Şentop continued as follows:<_o3a_p>

"Sometimes, at some moments in history, the fate of a leader and the fate of a country and nation come together. Today, such criticisms of our President, insulting things, were made not against him, but against our nation and Türkiye. We see that such approaches have received the necessary response from our nation in Türkiye. Before the election process, the world's most famous magazines, political opinion makers, followed policies against Tayyip Erdoğan and Türkiye, made covers, could not stop themselves working like an opposition party every day. The answer given by our nation is very clear. Our nation's response to such a vile attack, and the attitude it will adopt, is clear to us. We must leave this rabid mentality to its own disease and pathological condition."<_o3a_p>
