Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Sasha Baker met with Estonian Ministry of Defense Permanent Secretary Kusti Salm here at the Pentagon, June 15.

The leaders discussed efforts to strengthen defense cooperation and advance shared priorities, as our nations prepare for the Vilnius NATO Summit in July.

Deputy Under Secretary Baker thanked Permanent Secretary Salm for Estonia's significant military assistance to Ukraine, which has been critical to Ukraine's successes on the ground. The leaders emphasized their steadfast commitment to Ukraine as it defends its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
