César González-Bueno, Leopoldo Alvear and the Investor Relations team are recognised by European analysts and investors at the ‘Institutional Investor’ Awards

24 October 2023. Banco Sabadell's CEO, César González-Bueno, was recognised by the analyst community as Europe's second-best CEO in the small & midcaps in the financial sector category at the awards of the international magazine 'Institutional Investor', which was the result of a vote of close to 1,900 equity analysts and institutional investors.

In addition, Leopoldo Alvear was chosen as best CFO in Europe in the small & midcaps in the financial sector category by the analyst and investor community.

The jury also recognised the work of the Head of the Shareholders & Investors team, Lluc Sas, who topped the ranking of European small & midcaps in the financial sector, which was chosen by analysts, and ranked second by the analyst and investor community.

Moreover, Banco Sabadell received various additional awards: the Award to the Best Investor Relations Team in the European financial sector for small & midcaps, and the Award to the Best Investor Relations Team in Europe for companies across all sectors.

Banco Sabadell's Investor Relations Programme, the ESG Programme and its Investor Relations event have also been recognised by the analyst and institutional investor community, after ranking third respectively within the European financial small & midcaps category.

Votes from over 1,870 professionals

These awards reflect the outcome of a vote in which 1,872 equity analysts and institutional investors participated, who assess the work of European financial companies and institutions in the area of investor relations and market disclosures. This year, more than 2,700 executives from around 1,300 companies were nominated.

'Institutional Investor' (Euromoney group) is a well-known financial publication with more than five decades of relevance among the analyst and investor community. The magazine prepares various rankings which measure the performance of agents and various business areas involved in capital markets.
