Free live jazz concerts at Fort Worth Public Libraries this April

Published on April 03, 2024

Music fans are invited to experience free, live jazz concerts in April at three Fort Worth Public Library locations to celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month.

Myles Tate and the Soul Revival will provide a smooth soundtrack for a fun, relaxing time with friends and family. Mark your calendar with these dates:

Myles Tate III is a pianist, composer/arranger, artist, producer and teacher. With roots in Gospel, R&B, Blues and Soul, he hit the Chicago music scene at age 19 while attending Roosevelt University. He is currently a middle- and high-school band director who instills excellence in his students.

Jazz Appreciation Month highlights the American music form since 2001 when it was created by the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. April was chosen because it is the birth month of the late jazz great Edward Kennedy "Duke" Ellington - born on April 29, 1899.
