Aqua Pennsylvania has initiated a project for the replacement of 375 feet of water main on Glenhardie Road in Tredyffrin Township beginning Monday, May 6th for approximately 4 weeks (weather dependent). The existing water main will be replaced with 8-inch Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP), 8-inch C-900 Polyvinyl Chloride Pipe (PVC), and 8-inch High Density Polyethylene Pipe (HDPE). Additionally, approximately 122 feet of 4-inch Ductile Iron (DI) will be used to transfer affected services. The work will take place within the existing roadway. The new water main will be installed under an existing 14-foot- wide stone arch culvert with no bottom that will be replaced with a 24-foot-wide precast arch culvert with no bottom carrying Trout Creek.
