Penn State Health launched a new advertising campaign this week featuring local radio personality Nancy Ryan. The TV spots highlight that comprehensive health care is available 'right here' on the West Shore, when and where residents need it:

Ryan was a morning show host on Bob 94.9WRBT Harrisburg for 23 years. After being diagnosed with breast cancer a decade ago, she was treated at Holy Spirit Medical Center and Andrews Patel Hematology/Oncology. She conquered cancer and has been an outspoken survivor ever since. Ryan has now partnered with Penn State Health to share her story and tell West Shore residents about the new services, practices and hospitals available to them.

The campaign also features radio spots with Ryan on how Penn State Health is providing West Shore communities with greater access to primary and specialty health care services. As staff recruitment efforts continue for Hampden Medical Center ahead of its Oct. 1 opening, Penn State Health will create additional spots with Ryan talking to patients and staff.

Employees who have a great story to tell about their community involvement in their West Shore hometown, such as serving as a Little League coach or a Girl Scout troop leader, are encouraged to email a short summary to [email protected]. Stories will be considered for possible inclusion in an upcoming TV or radio spot. Staff can follow Penn State Health on Facebook and share ads highlighted there with friends and family.
