How can you spring into action?

  • Volunteers will meet at 7:30 a.m. at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center, 9221 SE Event Center Place, Port St. Lucie, FL 34952 to pick up their free T-shirts and litter tools and be directed to their designated area.
  • Enjoy a free breakfast provided by Walmart and root beer or water from Side Door Brewing Company before participating in the initiative.
  • Cleanup begins at 8:30 a.m.
  • Return between 10 and 11 a.m. for a raffle ticket and a chance to win a prize, interact with exhibitors and receive a free lunch from FCC Environmental Services.
  • Volunteers will also have a free lunch, interact with their community and have a chance to win raffle prizes.

"Every year, we look forward to bringing this worthwhile event to our City," said Georgette Beck, Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful Program Supervisor, "Caring Community Cleanup Day is a perfect opportunity to raise awareness about environmental stewardship and encourage others to roll up their sleeves to keep our City beautiful. We're grateful to partner with Coke Florida on a sustainability project during the event, to positively impact a healthier community. Together we really can make a difference!"

  • Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, the local Coca-Cola bottler will host a fun and interactive Rain Barrel Workshop and donate rain barrels and conversion kits. Participants will learn how to upcycle Coke Florida's syrup barrel into a rainwater collection system that can be used in your gardens and yards! Following the workshop, volunteers will help paint the rain barrels and have the opportunity to take one home.
  • Coke Florida will also offer a tasting tent for some of the latest Coca-Cola products. Stop by to sample the Coke Florida beverages.
  • Volunteers are invited to create art from the litter and items they pick up. The creations will be submitted to Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful. The designs will be displayed at City Hall and/or MIDFLORIDA Event Center during November for America Recycles Day.

Local schools, businesses, organizations, HOA's and churches are encouraged to participate and conduct a cleanup anytime during April. Businesses and organizations are encouraged to participate as an exhibitor and/or donate a raffle prize to support the volunteers. Photos of their cleanup efforts can be shared on social media or submitted to [email protected].
