Deputy Minister Cirielli opens Codeway Expo 2024, the main event devoted to opportunities and synergies for the private sector in the field of development cooperation.

Italy's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Edmondo Cirielli opened today at Fiera di Roma "Codeway Expo", the main event focusing on the role of the private sector in the field of development cooperation, organised by Fiera Roma and Internationalia, with the scientific collaboration of The European House Ambrosetti.

The exhibition, sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, focuses on the decisive role played by the private sector in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda and provides its participants with an important opportunity for dialogue and growth, offering a unique platform for direct interaction with the major players in international and multilateral cooperation.

In his opening speech, Deputy Minister Cirielli emphasised how "the absolute priority given to Africa by Prime Minister Meloni and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tajani is one of the leading aspects of Italian foreign policy. The implementation of the Mattei Plan in Africa requires a synergic effort by the entire Italian economic system, from the public sector to the private sector, with its civil society organisations and companies".
