Penn State Schuylkill paid tribute to several outstanding athletes in honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
Senior Morgan Edge was awarded a commemorative basketball for reaching a 1,000-point career milestone. Sophomore Noel Kaufman was recognized as the first athlete in Penn State Schuylkill history to be named to an NAIA All-Conference team, and freshman Kat McCarthy, a consistent top finisher in PSUAC golf, was named the 2019 USCAA Women's Individual National Champion.
A banner was unveiled in honor of the 2018 PSUAC Division East Champion women's softball team-the first team in Penn State Schuylkill history to record a 20-game win season. In addition to the outstanding teamwork involved in this achievement, there were numerous individual player accomplishments that all contributed to this standout season.
