PennDOT Reopens Plymouth Road North Following Sinkhole, Pipe Repair in Plymouth Township

King of Prussia, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced todaythat northbound Plymouth Roadwas opened this evening between Rittenhouse Square and Butler Pike in Plymouth Township, Montgomery County, following sinkhole and pipe repair.

Northbound Plymouth Road was closed on Friday, February 2, following the discovery of pavement settlement. PennDOT crews addressed the voided area and reestablished the drainage piping that was damaged. Flowable fill was used to fill the voids, followed by paving.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
