At May 13 Open Meeting, PCAOB to Consider Adopting New Standards on General Responsibilities of the Auditor, Quality Control

Washington, DC, May 8, 2024

The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) will hold an open meeting on Monday, May 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. ET.

At the meeting, the Board will consider adopting a new auditing standard - AS 1000, General Responsibilities of the Auditor in Conducting an Audit - together with other amendments to PCAOB standards.

The Board will also consider adopting a new quality control standard - QC 1000, A Firm's System of Quality Control - together with other amendments to PCAOB standards, rules, and forms.
