Lockport StoryWalk®

The StoryWalk® starts right outside the library and winds its way around Central Square, ending just outside the west entrance of the City Hall. Each of the frames contains picture book pages accompanied by prompts or activities which provide visitors with an interactive reading experience. The StoryWalk® blends the enjoyment of family-friendly reading with the advantages of being active outdoors. Around Central Square, pages of a children's book are set in holders. As visitors stroll around, they come across page after page, and after a short stroll, they have read an entire story. The White Oak Library aims to replace the book four times per year.
